About Rob

American Entrepreneur Rob Simmons began his career at 19. He founded and owned one of the country's largest privately held medical staffing companies, Strategic Healthcare, earning him a spot on the Inc. 5,000 Magazine Fastest Growing Company list.

In 2010, Simmons co-founded JARS Productions, DBA JARS Media Group. A full service film production company.

In 2015 he co-founded Excision BioTherapeutics, a CRISPR-based gene editing biotech company focused on eradicating infectious diseases.

Founded in 2020, Simmons is a major shareholder in Caravan Biologix, a cell therapy company focused on solving critical challenges related to whole-cell chimeric receptor therapies and biologic delivery using proprietary and transformative platform technologies.

In 2022, Simmons co-established Tasty Buds Seven, Inc., which holds a New York state adult-use recreational marijuana grow license. Tasty Buds grows, freezes, extracts, and packages products for distribution. In the same year, Simmons acquired La Porta Pizza restaurant in New York.

As a Producer, Simmons has produced independent films for over a decade, including such films as The Skulleton, Hellfire, The Devils Workshop, Monstrous, Sanctioning Evil, Last Call, Christmas vs The Walters, Ten Thousand Saints, Human Capital, Wild Oats, The Brawler, and Ghost in the Graveyard. With nearly 100 film credits to his name, he is a member of the Producers Guild of America, the American Film Institute, and Film at Lincoln Center.

In 2019, he won the Best Picture award at the Peekskill Film Festival for producing Ghost in the Graveyard and multiple awards for the hit documentary Himalayan Ice in 2020.
